The aim of this site is to help accelerate the success of those interested in pursuing greater FREEDOM within a small business context, by pointing you in the right direction and providing information and insights specifically related to lead generation, marketing system creation, and prospect and customer follow up through email marketing automation.

Running your own small business can be incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. But with so many responsibilities and pressures involved in the day to day running of your business, you can start to feel frustrated and overwhelmed at times, just trying to keep it all running. The goals of freedom, wealth and fulfillment can often be sidelined by the need to just survive. You got into business to thrive; not just survive.

The answer to ‘moving the needle’ in a meaningful way in your business, is by implementing systems and automation where possible, allowing you to free up your time to focus more on working on your business, rather than in it.

MY MISSION

To elevate the lives of those I care dearly about,
by providing value to others, so that they can do the same.

My Mission is derived from a strong desire to provide for my family and loved ones, while realizing that the best way to accomplish that, is by serving others. In doing so, hopefully I can help you provide more for your family and loved ones too. That way, we all win.

You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.- Zig Ziglar

Despite the massive amount of information that is available, it can be difficult to separate the information that keeps us going from small fix to small fix without getting ahead, from information that will take you most efficiently in the direction you want to go.

What started out originally as a review site for email autoresponders, is evolving into a resource that I believe can help create value to those struggling within their businesses (or allow those who are just starting, or about to start, small businesses), to grow traffic to your website, convert that traffic into leads and then to customers and repeat customers by implementing an automated system, so that you can move more swiftly toward your goals and the reasons you chose small business in the first place.

About Me

HI, I’m Kevin Striker.

I think the easiest way to describe myself is that I’m the husband to a beautiful, kind, hardworking farm girl; Dad to two Beagles, who has been pursuing wealth my entire life.

Not wealth by the traditional definition, but more of the wealth described by Thoreau:

Wealth is the ability to fully experience life. – Henry David Thoreau

(Can you tell I love quotes?)

Money is great, don’t get me wrong, its on my brain 24/7. But I’m much more interested in the freedom it can bring, to do more of what you want, with whom you want, when you want. I’m not there yet, but I’m trying.

I think I’ve always been entrepreneurial minded. In 1996, with a loan of $2000 from a high school friend, I started my first online venture. The money went to creating a website that posted online resumes of hopeful College bound hockey players – including stats, game schedules, school marks and other profile information, that US College Scouts could use for their scouting.

Players, parents, coaches and scouts all loved the idea and it would have been a great business except for one thing… it didn’t make any money.

While I was in university at the time getting a theoretical education in marketing, I had no ‘real world’ education on how to market my idea properly. And sadly, it failed.

It highlights to me that you can have a great idea for a product or service, and do a lot of things right, but without effective marketing of that product or service, you will not get anywhere.

Despite my early realization that the Internet possesses an amazing opportunity for business, after my entrepreneurial failure and completion of university, I moved away from the online business world for quite a while and into the corporate world, where I helped small business owners with their real estate requirements. I spent 10 years there until handing in my resignation in 2006 to go out on my own and try to do it myself again.

I’ve owned a number of businesses related to real estate, and in marketing those businesses, it brought me back to direct response and internet marketing in January 2011.

I am not an internet marketing guru (self professed or otherwise) and I’m not trying to be. I don’t make 7 figures or have an email list of 500,000 subscribers and despite having my first website up and running in 1996, I have next to no coding/technical skills. I’m just a squirrel trying to get a nut.

Just a squirrel trying to get a nutIn my pursuit of freedom, getting into Internet Marketing has been a very difficult experience. I’ve spend years and tens of thousands of dollars trying to go up the learning curve, and unfortunately along the way, I’ve been burned quite a few times by internet opportunists who preyed on my strong desire to make money and get ahead with an internet based business.

One such opportunist, I’m embarrassed to say, ended up separating me and my family from $11,253 over a years time. He and his cohort got me excited like crazy of the potential, while taking advantage of my ignorance in internet marketing by selling me courses, affiliate laden SEO crap, and done-for-you websites that literally made me zero dollars. No ROI – at all!

This is not one of those cases where I bought a product and let it collect dust on the shelf and then blamed the guy who sold it to me. I wanted success badly and I worked at it! I worked at it long and hard, put in the time and did all that I was told to do.

It wasn’t until taking other courses, reading through vast amounts of blog posts, attending hundreds of webinars and being introduced to the “right people” on the internet, that I came to realize that the information I was given never had a hope of yielding any result.

It is humiliating knowing that you did something with good intentions and for the right reasons, but got taken advantage of. I’m to blame and it kills me.

Like I said before, there is a lot of information out there. Some incredibly good and some complete garbage. Figuring out which is which can be tough some times. This site is here to help you with that.

What I do know and what I have learned, I’m happy to pass along here. I don’t try to pretend I have all the answers, but when I don’t, I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction of who does.

This site is admittedly very much in the early stages, but I will be adding content to it regularly, so please check back often, if you like what you see here.

Switching gears for a second, I’d like to share with you a quick story.

In 2011, the same year I lost my Father, I lost my best friend aside from my wife. His passing did to me what I know he wouldn’t have wanted it to, it completely devastated me. He had always been the smart one, the strong one, the driven guy with his stuff really together.

He was married to a great girl, had a great job and had a beautiful daughter. Cancer entered his life at 32, but as expected, he beat it. When the doctors gave him the OK, he and his wife had a boy, but then it came back and after the bravest fight you’ll ever see, it took him a month after his 38th birthday. On his death bed, he just wanted to know how he…could help…me? A truly amazing person, that despite his passing, inspires me every single day.

Why do I bring that up? Because while I knew it in the back of my head and thought of if from time to time, his life and his experience clearly illustrates to me how important our ‘time’ is. We only have so much of it. I want to fully experience as much of it as I can and build a business that grants me the freedom to do just that and hopefully, where I can, help you do the same.

As my friend was passing away many things he said to me will be with me forever. But one of the things that echoes the loudest in my head, is when he said, “there’s just not enough time”. We never know what can happen, so we have to do what we can NOW to build a life worth living and one that benefits the world and those we love.

A famous Spanish proverb that I have always loved,

Salud pesetas y amor y tiempo para disfrutarlos todos

which means

Health, wealth and love and the time to enjoy them

That is my wish for you!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
